On the deathbed of her sister, Margaret reluctantly promised Hester that she would never disgrace the family name by marrying Hugh Blair and kept her word faithfully, despite the pain it caused her. One evening, however, Margaret discovers a ghostly figure making their way across the old Meredith garden to put right an old wrong.
