Sheila McCarthy is a Canadian actress and singer, who played Betty Blaine in "King of the Great White Way", the seventh episode of Season 7 of Road to Avonlea (1990–1996).
McCarthy later provided the voice of Mrs. King in Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series (2000–2001) and played Mrs. Blackmore in Season 3 of Anne with an E(2017–2019). She also starred as Laura Murray in Emily of New Moon, a TV series based on another novel by L.M. Montgomery.
