Flag of Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan is a Canadian province. Its capital is Regina.
Locations[]
- The Flats
- Prince Albert
Etymology[]
The name of the province is derived from the Saskatchewan River, which is known as kisiskāciwani-sīpiy ("swift flowing river") in the Cree language.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- There is an actual village in Saskatchewan named Avonlea. The village was named after the fictional town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island from Anne of Green Gables series.[2]
- In Green Gables Fables universe, the story is set into Avonlea, Saskatchewan. This location shares the coordinates with its real-life counterpart, but apparently it has higher population and seems to be a small town rather than a village.
