"Remorse Is the Poison of Life" is the sixth episode of Season 1 of CBC's Anne with an E (2017–2019) and the sixth episode of the series overall. It was written by Moira Walley-Beckett and directed by Paul Fox. It premiered on CBC on April 23, 2017.


When Diana's little sister becomes deathly ill in the middle of the night while their parents are away, a frightened Diana runs to Anne for help. The Blythe farm sees grave change and Marilla is reminded of all she was forced to give up as a young woman while Matthew receives unsettling news.
