• Patricia's sister Barbara portrayed Marilla Cuthbert in four seasons (1965–1968) of Anne of Green Gables: The Musical and some time later in two BBC TV series, Anne of Green Gables (1972) and Anne of Avonlea (1975). She also played Shop Assistant in the 1956 film and in its 1958 reprise and starred as Eulalie Bugle in Road to Avonlea (1990–1996).
• Her husband, Leslie Carlson, portrayed Mr. Lawson in Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (1987) and in Road to Avonlea (1990–1996).
• Patricia's only son Ben Carlson portrayed Walter Shirley in the 2008 film Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning.
• Patricia's older sister, Barbara, has acted in six different Anne productions spanning from 1956 to 1996 (forty years), while Patricia, by contrast, has acted in whopping eight productions from 1985 to 2008 (twenty-three years). This includes voice acting and Anne spinoffs.
• She died from undisclosed causes at a nursing home in Stratford, Ontario at the age of 86, 3 days after her birthday.
