Summary[]
Snubbed by their classmates, Anne and Diana set up the Order of the Kindred Spirit, an exclusive club of two. Midway through building their complex clubhouse, they find that everyone else at school responded by excluding them in return by making their own club!

- After isolating herself from the rest of her schoolmates and eventually from Diana as well, Anne believes that she (as an orphan) is used to being alone and doesn't need the others. Matthew tells her about an English poet John Donne and his famous line "no man is an island" from the prose work Devotions upon Emergent Occasions (1624). Marilla explains its meaning and says that nobody gets through life without other people. Matthew jokingly alters the line into "no Anne is an island" and helps Anne realize she needs the company of her schoolmates.

Eight episodes of the animated series have not been released on DVD, namely "The Swim of Things", "The Witch of Avonlea", "A Square Peg!", "Marbles!", "A Condition of Superstition", "A Welcome Hero", "No Anne is an Island" and "Anne's Disappearing Allowance".
