Mr. Lawson is the relative of Alice Lawson, an Avonlea resident, and the owner of a local store.

Behind the scenes

Portrayal

• Adrian Truss voiced the character in "Taffy!", the sixth episode of the series, before being replaced by Richard Binsley. Truss, who had also played minor roles in three episodes of Road to Avonlea (1990–1996), then became the voice actor of Mr. Gresham and Bank Teller.
• Richard Binsley provided the voice of Mr. Lawson in Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series (2000–2001). He debuts in "Idle Chatter", the ninth episode of the series. Binsley also played Stationmaster in L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables (2016).
