Lincoln MacLean was the husband of Chatty MacLean.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Lincoln was most likely born in the 1810s, to Mr. and Mrs. MacLean. He attended the local school at the age of six, however, he did not continue with his studies and became a carpenter.
Marriage with Chatty[]
Around the 1840s, Lincoln met a young lady named Chatty. She accepted his proposal and they later married and settled down in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
Death[]
Lincoln later died of an unknown death in an unknown year (certainly before 1887, because he was dead when Anne Shirley came to Summerside).
Personality[]
Lincoln was an 'old crank'...nobody minded but Chatty thought people held it against her.
Etymology[]
Lincoln is a male given name of English origin which means lake settlement.
