Gus Pike was the son of Eliza Pike, and for many years, he believed that his true father was Abe Pike, or his real father was Ezekiel Crane, a former student at the Avonlea School, the husband of Felicity King and the father of unborn Pike baby.

Physical appearance

Gus is tall and thin, with dark brown hair and blue eyes. When he first appears, he wears ragged clothing and a newsboy cap. Later on he gets a job at the White Sands Hotel and begins to wear nicer clothes.

• The official Road to Avonlea website describes him in these words: Well recognized for his “Maritime English”, Gus is a young vagabond who grows to earn the respect and love of the Avonlea townsfolk. In spite of his humble beginnings, he also manages to win the love of Felicity King.
