• Both Carole and her sister Shirley portrayed Anne Shirley in the 1952 TV series Anne of Green Gables. Carole appeared in the first five episodes, Shirley made her first and only appearance in the last episode, "The Bend in the Road". An interesting fact is that also another character in the same series, Gilbert Blythe, was portrayed by two siblings (Jeremy and David Spenser).
