Anne of Green Gables is a Canadian radio drama produced and broadcast in 1954 by CBC Radio and adapted into 13 parts by Andrew Allen. It is based on Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. It is possibly a prequel to Anne of Avonlea, a CBC radio drama broadcast later in 1954.
It is believed that Toby Tarnow provided the voice of Anne Shirley in this radio drama. She is known for being the voice of Anne in some radio drama before playing the same part in the 1956 TV film. Tarnow is also claimed to play the main part in Anne of Avonlea, which was broadcast by CBC Radio in October 1954. Since both radio dramas were produced by CBC in 1954, it is likely she voiced Anne in both of them.
