Anne Shirley is the orphan taken in by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, the best friend of Diana Barry and a friend and classmate of Gilbert Blythe, Felix King and Felicity King.

She has red hair, a blue dress, and black boots.

Personality

Anne is a 10-year-old redheaded orphan who has been adopted by Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert. By nature, Anne is a mischievous chatterbox with an extremely active imagination. Anne’s sense of adventure often gets her into sticky situations, but she is adept at solving problems through the use of her imagination.

Portrayal

• Bryn McAuley provided the voices of Anne and Katie Maurice in Anne of Green Gables: The Animated Series (2000–2001). She debuts in "Carrots!", the first episode of the series.
• McAuley was replaced by Mckenzie Sullivan in the 2005 video film Anne: Journey to Green Gables.
