Amelia Evans was a celebrated performer and regarded as an important fixture in Avonlea's upper crust.
Biography[]
Amelia Evans appears at the White Sands concert, where she delivers H.W. Longfellow's poem, Wreck of the Hesperus, to the acclaim of her audience. Though considered eccentric, she is respected by Avonlea's residents and well-travelled, having recently completed a tour of Europe. Anne Shirley admires Mrs. Evans for her dignified grace and poise, along with her intelligence and education.
